Aaron Hosé - Producer/Director/Editor/Director of Photography

Aaron HoseAaron Hosé is a graduate from the Valencia Film Program. Aaron started as a freelance audio-visual specialist, and has, since 1997, steadily worked his way into the local film and video production industry. In 1999, he became employed by the University of Central Florida, and as a full-time Multimedia Producer, has been producing promotional and educational video projects for the various colleges and departments within the university. Aaron's daily contributions to university projects include directing and producing, production management, shooting, editing, graphic design, and DVD authoring. During his spare time, Aaron was able to complete his undergraduate degree at UCF. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies (with a minor in Engineering and Cinema Studies) in Fall 2003.

In spring 2003, Aaron produced, directed, shot, and edited "The Groveland Four," a short documentary which introduced the riveting story of four African-American boys that were wrongfully accused of raping a white woman in Groveland, Florida, in 1949. The film garnered critical acclaim and played to sold-out audiences at film festivals throughout Central Florida. Today, the film continues to be screened at forums and in collegiate-level courses in where "race relations in Florida" is a featured topic.

Much like Tony Coolidge, Aaron also comes from a multi-racial background. Born in the United States in 1975, and raised on the beautiful island of Aruba since 1979, Aaron has the ability to effectively communicate in four different languages (English, Spanish, Dutch, and Papiamento, Aruba's local dialect). Furthermore, Aaron's commitment to his native island has never been stronger. Last July, along with a number of graduate students from Aruba, Aaron established Origins Media Group (OMG). OMG's main purpose is to produce "Frame Goes U.S.A", a bi-monthly depiction of college-student life through the eyes of twenty-something Arubans studying in the United States. "Frame Goes U.S.A" forms part of "Frame," a one-hour show produced for Aruban television by Score TV, a production company based in The Netherlands. "Frame" is currently in its third season.

As a freelance producer for PROactive Media, Aaron has assisted in the production of several corporate and non-profit video projects. Aaron is currently in the planning stages of a documentary film for The Himalayan Youth Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing underprivileged children in Nepal and Bhutan with shelter and a fully funded high school education. The documentary is set to go into pre-production in early 2005.
